FOR THE LOVE OF SPORT

Tim Rademaker fell in love with the skill and sport of Pole Vault 65 years ago. He shared that with his own son and daughter, Mark and Alison. Over the years Mark has competed and learned alongside some of the best pole vault athletes and coaches in the world, including several Olympians and Olympic coaches.

The camaraderie, competitive edge, lifelong friendships and knowledge for life application have been transformational for this family of pole vaulters. Mark had a decades long dream...build a state-of-the-art facility where athletes from beginners to experienced competitors could train, compete, and make lifelong friendships to enrich their life.

Mark's father, Tim has competed and coached collectively for nearly 60 years. He has coached and trained many vaulters who have placed high at the state level, those who have gone on to achieve state championships, and has coached at the university level .

Mark reached out to many of his own friends he competed with who were also coached by his father, Tim. Together, River City Vault Club broke ground.

River City Vault Club is a generational dream come true for the Rademaker family, friends, fellow competitors and athletes around the region.

How can I not share that with these kids? We had to build this place and give kids the opportunity to have this kind of experience. It's a privilege and truly incredible to be able to offer this to the next generation."
